Frank Chace Obituary
Frank Albert Chace was 80 years young when he passed away August 22, 2014 in Canon City, CO. He was born August 10, 1934 in Morrison, OK to Virgil and Gertie (Farr) Chace. On September 13, 1952, Frank was united in marriage to Patricia Joan Jestes in Huntsville, Arkansas. To this union three children were born, Russell Mathew, Lynda Janell, and Leonard Douglas. They lived in a number of locations throughout their marriage, and in 1972 they moved to Two Rivers, Alaska. There Frank helped establish and build the Two Rivers Baptist Church in Fairbanks, Alaska. They moved back to Canon City, and retired from the Department of Corrections. Frank was a member of the Greydene Baptist Church, and gathered with the Canon Rose Society to play music. He loved to watch John Wayne movies, listen to country music, and his cowboy hats. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Canon Coffee. Mr. Chace is survived by his children; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Christine Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 2012; and brother, Laverne Chace. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., prior to the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Canon City. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Holt Family Funeral Home.
