Everette Manley Obituary
Everette Theon "ET" Manley passed away suddenly on March 31, 2014 at the age of 87. A veteran of the U.S. Army, ET was very proud of his service in the Army and for his county. He proudly wore his "Army Veteran" baseball cap at all times. In October 2013, ET moved to Colorado and resided at the Bruce McCandless Colorado State Veterans Home until his death. He loved to tease the staff at the Vet's home and loved to tell his "jokes"! ET remembered his life in Kentucky and Missouri with fondest memories and always with humor. His family meant the world to him and he had a great love for children and small dogs. Mr. Manley is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Peggy of 11 years. He is also survived by his children, Rita (Beau) Huston, Lurea (John) Sutton, Lynda (Donald) O'Hagen, Stacy (Steve) Dowdy, Dorthea Little, and Mary Steinson; his step-children, Cindy (Mike) Cox of Florence, CO, Catherine (Bob) Allen of Kennewick, WA, and Carvel (Sharon) O'Dell of Coeur d'Alene, ID; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 at Union Highland Cemetery in Florence, CO. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Bruce McCandless Colorado State Veterans Home, 903 Moore Drive, Florence, CO 81226 in ET's memory. Arrangements under the care of Holt Family Florence Historic Funeral Home. Online condolences @ www.holtfamilyfuneral homes.com
