Glenn A. Leiter
94, died Dec. 8, 2012. An Army Air Force veteran, he served in World War II as a paratrooper in Europe and North Africa and received two bronze stars. He was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, a 32 degree Mason, a 60+ year member of Star Lodge, a member of Tadmor Shrine and was the long time owner with his father and brother of Leiter and Sons Hardware.
Preceded in death by wife, Evelyn; and brother, Clarence; he is survived by wife, Peg; children, Dan (Jan) Leiter and Claudia (Stan) Stephan; grandchildren, Julie (Curt) Double, Dan (Kristi) Leiter and Michael and Sarah Stephan; great grandchildren, Alec Leiter, Haley Burg, and Bethany, Russell and Lindsay Double.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel at St. Luke Lutheran Community, 220 Applegrove St. NE, N. Canton, with Rev. Steven Gehlert officiating. Private inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd., CFO 44223 or North Stark Shrine Transportation, Merrill Mossbarger, Treasurer, 2982 Millridge Circle, Canton, OH 44708.
