Hambleton, Mary Lou  
Mary Lou "Skip" Hambleton 88 of Jackson Twp. born in Canton, Ohio Feb. 19, 1927 to the late Herbert and Lillie Dingies passed away May 21, 2015. She graduated in 1945 from Timken Vocational High School in cosmetology, owned and operated her own beauty shop for 30 years retiring in 1988. Skip married her husband Richard in Oct. 1945 and they had one daughter, Trudy. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling and eating out every Tuesday evening with friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Dingies; sisters-in-law, Jean Brown and Joanne Stuffel. She is survived by her husband Richard; daughter, Trudy (Bill) Hart; granddaughter, Heather Hart; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Rick (Robin) Dingies and their girls, Kim and Kris; brothers-in-law, Willard Hambleton and Dave Stuffel. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Reedurban Presbyterian Church 1145 Perry Dr. NW Canton, Ohio 44708. Inurnment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a later date. Hoffman, Abigail  
Abigail Hoffman Sarasota, Fla. -- Abigail A. Marmash, a resident of Lakewood Ranch Fla., died Thursday the 14th of May at Hawthorne Village Healthcare. Born in 1942, Abigail lived her young life in Canton, Ohio. Abigail attended Kent State University before working at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Abigail moved to Pensacola, Fla. in the 1970's to raise her family. She spent her senior years living in Lakewood Ranch Fla. playing bridge with friends, crafting, and spending time with her family. Herzog, Gerald  
Gerald "Jerry" Herzog who resided in Fernandina Beach, Fla., died Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. after a valiant fight against cancer. Jerry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1943 to Henry and Helen Herzog. A graduate of Nova University, Jerry also served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked in Cincinnati, Ohio and Orlando Fla. for AT&T, 19 years, until returning to Canton, Ohio. In Canton, he worked for Stark County and Canton City Schools until retirement. He retired to Amelia Island, Fla., with his wife, Jane, where he loved beach walking, golf and his new role as 'grandpa on call'. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joanne Kipp; and brother, Richard Herzog. Jerry is survived by his wife, Jane (Garofalo); his son, Jerry Herzog (Danielle Romary); his daughters, Angela Huntington (Miles) and Amy Garza (Frank); his seven grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Helen Garofalo. He is also survived by his brother, Ron Herzog (Marsha) of Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Charlene Herzog of Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara (Marcello) Frustaci; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Debbie) Garofalo, Carl (Cathy) Garofalo, Michael (Valerie) Garofalo; and many beloved nieces, nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Haas, Patricia L.  
Patricia L. Haas age 89, died peacefully on Mother's Day, May 10, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 24, 1926 in Braddock, Pa., the daughter of John and Leona Fearon. Her family later moved to Strasburg, Ohio where she graduated from Strasburg High School. Patricia was a licensed real estate agent in Stark County for many years and was employed by Massillon State Hospital for ten years. She was an avid reader and loved antiques and decorating. Patricia was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church and Altar Rosary Society. Along with her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard, John, Henry, Hugh, Leo, and Alfred, and a sister, Marie Mauck. She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Chuck) Baltzer, Diane Chaplin (Pat), Trisha (Ken) Wohlheter, David (Chris) Haas, all of Navarre, Ohio; Debbie (Terry) Hogan of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Stephanie Gallagher of Bratenahl, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A funeral mass will be at Holy Family Parish (formerly St. Clement Catholic Church), 202 East Wooster Street, Navarre, Ohio, Tuesday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in her name to the Navarre branch of the Massillon Public Library or the American Diabetes Association. Herrmann Jr., William  
William H. Herrmann, Jr. 76, of Canton, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. William was born on October 10, 1938 in Massillon, the son of William H. and Lauretta (Gaupel) Herrmann, Sr. Bill was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1956 graduate of Washington High School. He worked at Quality Dairy as a truck driver. Bill loved 50's music, especially Elvis. He loved Western movies, classic cars, and watching wildlife. Most of all Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Dendy L. (Geis) Herrmann, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage; his children, Tondra L. (Vincent) Smith-Mulloy and William H. (Maria) Herrmann III; and his grandchildren, Joshua (Charlie Willis) and Chelsea Smith and Zoe Herrmann. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Michael C. Hobdy May 25, 1920 – May 15, 2015 Mike retired from The Stark Co. Engineers where he was a driver. Member of McKinley Eagles # 2370. Preceded in death by his wife, Stella in 1977. Survived by five children, Joseph (Sally) Hobdy, Sandy (Ed) Scheetz, Sharon (Michael) Maley, Shiela Mayle, Sarah Hobdy; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. Howard, Eva  
Eva Elizabeth (Keller) Howard passed away peacefully May 14, 2015 after a long and wonderful life. Eva was born in Schneeburg, Germany Aug. 4, 1924 the daughter of Anton and Maria Keller (Hoerst). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William; brother, Ruthard; two infant sons; and daughter, Anna Maria. She is survived by sister, Ursula and Karl Anfang; son-in-law, Gary Zimmer; granddaughter, Jennifer and Jeff Bostic; grandson, Troy and Tracy Zimmer; great- grandchildren, Brittany and David Renner, Jarrod, Jacob, and Jacqueline Bostic, Ty Zimmer; great-great-granddaughters, Ava and Brooke Renner. Eva moved to the U.S. in 1952 and lived in and around the Canton/Dover/New Philadelphia area. She retired in 1986 from Goodyear Aerospace after 22 years of service. Eva will be greatly missed by her family and friends, as she was an extraordinary, strong-willed and loving woman who has left everyone she has met with many great stories and lasting memories. Calling hours will be Tuesday May 19, at 1 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m. at Reed Funeral Home, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, North Canton. Interment service will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Humphrey, Frances Ann  
Frances Ann Humphrey 85, of Massillon, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. Frances was born on May 8, 1930 in Dalton, the daughter of William and Bessie (Hill) DeGordon. Frances lived in Carrollton where she and her husband lived on a farm. She lived most of her life here in the Massillon/Dalton area. She worked at Massillon State Hospital and also was a caregiver. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elton B. Humphrey; her brothers, Charles, Edward and Pete DeGordon. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Donnie) Rittenhouse and Carol (David) Horst; her step-daughters; her grandchildren, Daniel (Sabrina) Rittenhouse, Amy (fiancée Sam Beal) Horst, Meghan (Justin Tenney) Horst; many step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Mae DeGordon. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospitality House many whom she came to love and took excellent care of her. The family would also like to thank the staff at Harbor Light Hospice for the special care their mom received. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Cemetery in North Lawrence.
