Mahshie, Louis Father  
The Very Reverend Archpriest Father Louis Mahshie The Very Rev. Fr. Louis Mahshie, 80, passed into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015.  He left behind him a rich legacy of service – spanning 52 years - to his Antiochian Orthodox Christian Faith, to the parishes he served and to legions of people throughout our community and beyond who were enriched by his outstanding dedicated service, his kindness, his generosity, his modesty, and his legacy of rich outpouring of Christ's love. Father Lou will lie in state from 3 until 8 p.m on Monday, Aug. 31 and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 3204 Ridgewood Road Akron, OH 44333.  Trisagion will be Monday at 8 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday 10 a.m. and will be followed immediately by the Funeral Service.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fr. McLean, Donald R.  
Donald R. McLean 88, of Marbury, Ala., formerly of Peachtree City, passed away August 25, 2015. Mr. McLean proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He also was a retired air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration. Don loved wood working, rv'ing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved fixing things, building things and helping the family with projects. He was always there for his family. Don is survived by his wife, Nancy McLean of Peachtree City; his children, Deborah Morrison of Norton, Ohio, Linda Price of Massillon, Ohio, Donald McLean, Jr. of Massillon, Ohio, Sherrie Stoddard of Senoia, David McLean of Vinings, Kevin McGill of Cape Coral, Fla., John Garris, Tammy Matta and Cindy Hurst; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Maisano, Franklin  
Franklin Maisano 1933-2015 Born Sept. 30, 1933. A longtime resident of Greenwich, Conn. passed away of natural causes on Aug. 10, 2015 in Rye Brook, N.Y. surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Newark, N.J. He lived in New York City, as well as Canton, Ohio where he graduated from McKinley High School. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, he also attended NYU Business School and was a graduate of Advanced Management Program of Harvard University. He served as President of Equitable Variable Life, CEO of Integrity Life and National Mutual Life in the US. Prior to that, he served as President of Manhattan Life Company for more than 20 years. He was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Esther and Nicholas Guttilla of Canton, his brothers, Salvatore of Union, N.J., Lawrence of Canton, and a niece, Mary Jane Vanderpyl. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Phillip Maisano, Esther Rosenthal, Therese Schneider, Sarah Marks, and Rose Ann Collinsworth, as well as many grand nieces and nephews, who dearly loved him. He received numerous awards and recognition for his charitable endeavors which included the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club, a board member of the ASPCA, and the Family Service Association. Franklin was stricken with polio at an early age, was disabled all of his adult life, however, after a series of amazing successes, he would often say his disability never defined him rather it made him stronger and more determined. His example will live on with all who knew him. He was a good man, loved and respected by all. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 3430 Fulton Drive NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. Mast, Richard D. Rich  
Richard D. “Rich” Mast 1952-2015 age 63, of Massillon, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born in Massillon on April 2, 1952 and was a lifelong area resident. Following graduation from Tuslaw High School in 1970, he served with the Ohio National Guard. He worked as a foreman at Oster Sand & Gravel. Rich was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles and watching football. He also enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Mast and nephew, Major Jeffrey Warstler. Survivors include his fiancé, Barbara Hollinger; her children, April (Elijah) Williams and Benjamin Marsh; and grandchildren, Jacob, Savannah, Tyler, Natalie and Eliana; his son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Vanetta Mast and their children, Alexa and Marc Mast; his mother, Grethel “Sis” Mast; his sisters, Lydia (Jeff) Warstler and Barbara (Rod) Krotky, and several nieces and nephews. McMaster, Michael D.  
Michael D. McMaster 1940-2015 age 74, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Canton, passed away July 4, 2015 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Edgar and Margaret (Byrd) McMaster. He worked at Danner Press for 26 and a half years until 1985, moving to Austin where he worked for Hart Graphics until retiring. Survived by his loving wife, Cheryl L. McMaster, children Joseph McMaster of the home, Mikki (David Prout) McMaster-Prout of Royal Oak, Mich, Todd McMaster of Kileen, Texas, Michelle (Michael) Legg of Idaho; grandsons, Lucus Prout of Royal Oak, Mich., Gavin McMaster of Kileen, Texas, and a granddaughter expected to be born in Sept.; brothers, Robert (Norma) McMaster of Canton, Dennis (Lee) McMaster of Round Rock, Texas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony and Jan Koutras of North Canton, Jerry and Susan Swisher of East Sparta, and many nieces and nephews. Mitchell, James Paul  
James Paul Mitchell 1928-2015; of Canton, Ohio age 87, passed away Aug. 23, 2015. He was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Canton, Ohio, son to the late Francis and Ethel (Myers) Mitchell. He was a 1946 graduate of Lehman High School and served in the United States Army. Jim retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation in 1987 following 25 years of service. He had been a member of Moose Lodge #233, McKinley Eagles #2370 and Massillon American Legion #231. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Kratzer and companion, Sonja Husk. Survivors include his brother, William (Mary) Mitchell of Brentwood, Tenn.; four nieces and two nephews also surviving. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery.
