Pappas, Norma (Beddell)  
Norma (Beddell) Pappas 1931-2015 age 84, of Canton, a believer in Christ, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Pauline; husband of 31 years, Sam; sister, Charlotte, and brother, Jimmy. Norma is survived by her daughter, Pam; sons, Scott and Sam; grandchildren, Christian and Nicole; brothers, Dave (Teri) and Don (Nancy); sister, Shirley, and many nieces and nephews. Always lucky at cards and games, she found the simplest things in life to be the best. She loved her parents just as her children loved her. Thanks to The Pines for their kindness, especially Bobbie McKnight. The family would also like to thank Paul, Joann, Kathy, and her niece, Sharon. All those days together and it still was not long enough. Till we meet again. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at 1 p.m. at The Chapel in North Canton (715 Whittier Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720) with Pastor Jim Colledge, officiating. Paulus, Lois  
Lois Paulus age 74, passed away on August 30, 2015. She was born in Warren, Ohio, on March 2, 1941 to the late John and Esther (Wagoner) Barkan. Lois graduated from Washington High School in 1959. She married Emerson Paulus on August 23, 1959 and they shared 39 years together until his passing in 1998. Lois worked as an interior designer and served as a volunteer in a variety of positions. She was the manager at the Massillon Club, an Executive Director of YWCA and a local supporter of the Massillon Ten Star Theater and also worked for the Wayne Center for the Arts until her retirement. Lois is survived by her sons, Tim (Lorraine) Paulus and Ken (Terri) Paulus; her grandchildren, Emily (Justin) Roberts, Natalie, Mitchel and Zoey Paulus; a great-grandchild, Max Roberts; her sisters, Edna (Dave) Moledor and Phyllis (Dan) Stipe; her brothers John (Alice) Barkan and James (Candy) Barkan; as well as a host of relatives and friends. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. Pastor Chip Belanga officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will take place at Brookfield Cemetery. Pressler, Lorie  
Lorie “Peggy” (Seeley) Pressler 1960-2015 age 54 passed away from a brief illness on Aug. 9, in Tyler, Texas. She lived most of her life in the Canton area. She is survived by her daughters; Taylor (Gabriel) Vyrda, Elizabeth Pressler, and Alysea (T.J. Munday) Pressler; her grandchildren William, Elianah, Myranda, Eric and Zachary. She is also survived by brothers David (Betty), Gary (Sandy), and Kenneth, and sister Karen (Chuck) Pressler, as well as several nieces and nephews and partner, Wayne Souza. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Eric and parents Kenneth and Helen Seeley. Per Peggy's wishes her body was donated to science under the care of the University of Texas at Houston. A memorial service will be held on Sept. 12 at 11a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow the memorial service.

Pritchard, Charlene A.  
Charlene A. Pritchard 1934-2015; of Canton, Ohio 81, of Canton passed way on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015. She was born March 17, 1934 in Rose Township Carroll County, Ohio, to the late James and Anna (Rarric) Beatty. Charlene enjoyed a long career as a nurse at Massillon State Hospital for 34 years. She enjoyed camping at Springwood Lake, traveling, reading books, puzzles and everthing Elvis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; brothers, Marvin, Dale and Glen Beatty; nephew, Brad Beatty and step-son, Kenneth Pritchard. Charlene is survived by her children, Patty (Bill) Jones, Thomas (Darla) Moss, Rose (Mike) Caris, Sherry (Durk) Kimble, John (Kathy) Moss and Jetta (Jim) Flowers; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, James Beatty, Gary (Judy) Beatty, twins, Earle (Jane) Beatty and Merle (Suzie) Beatty and a host of nieces and nephews; dear friends, Dorinda Sabo and Val and Ray Harms. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Aultman Hospital 4th floor and Dr. Groosman and his staff for all the care given to Charlene. Perez, Brett  
Brett Richard Perez age 39 of Silver Lake, Ohio passed away on Aug. 19, 2015 in the comfort of his parents' home. He was born Nov. 18, 1975 in Canton, Ohio and was a 1994 graduate of Chillicothe High School. In Jan. 1996, he joined the Navy where he served with honor and distinction aboard the USS Carl Vinson during Operation Desert Fox in the Persian Gulf. After proudly serving there, he was a lead technician in the activation of the Combined Air Operations Center at Al Udeid Air Base, Kingdom Qatar in 2002. He then moved into various positions within the Department of Defense. One such position was with the Joint Training and Simulation Center in Suffolk, VA. Brett participated as a communications engineer for a multitude of agencies supporting the DOD, NATO, and the Partnership for Peace. CT2 Perez then moved on to work with the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Augustina Perez, James and Ruth Fuller; and father Richard L. Perez. Brett is survived by his parents, Janis (Fuller) and Brad Hough of Silver Lake; sister, Stephanie (Brett) Raub; niece, Tate; and nephew, Evan, all of Streetsboro; step grandmother, Margaret (Hough) Rehmel of Bloomington, Ind., and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and wonderful friends. To celebrate his life a memorial will be held Saturday, Aug. 29. Porter, Rex Stephen  
Rex Stephen Porter 1985-2015 was born on August 20, 1985 in Canton, Ohio and went to heaven August 23, 2015. Rex attended Massillon Washington High School, graduating in 2004. He attended Clemson University and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Rex was employed at The Windjammer for the past eight years. He was always a giving person and putting others first. He had incredible awareness and insight as to what was important in life. His positivity, sense of humor and easy going outlook was wonderful to be around. We will miss an amazing son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who we lost way too soon, though we have gained the most perfect guardian angel. Rex was an active member of Clap Your Hands, a non-profit organization He is survived by his loving parents, Diane K. and Rex Allan Porter; sister, Lauren K. Porter; sister-in-law, Crystal L. Reed; niece, Madelyn; nephew, Porter, all of Hanahan, S.C.; his loving dog, JoAnna, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
