Sampel, Randy F.  
Randy F. Sampsel 64, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. He was known as the life of the party and lived life to its fullest. He was born in Massillon on Oct. 29, 1950 to the late Raymond 'Soup' and Joye Sampsel and married Donna Merry on Oct. 8, 1971. She survives. He retired from the Ohio Laborers Union Local 1015 of Canton and was a member of the Brewster Anglers Club. He loved his Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland sports teams. Randy could be found sitting on the back porch, admiring the sunset and soaking up the outdoors. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Betty (Cory) Price of New Philadelphia, Lorrie (Allen) Boerger of Columbus, Lindsey (Michael) Brown of Canton, Matt (Kristin) Sampsel of Batavia and Nick (Jessica Derr) Sampsel of Brewster; grandchildren, Cory, Taylor, Tessa, Summer, Kendal, Cassidy, Ethan and Jackson; a sister, Jennifer (Justus) White of Arizona; brothers, Terry (Sherry) Sampsel of Jackson Township and Jeff Sampsel of Maryland. Also surviving is his best friend and partner in crime, Mike Miklos. Last but not least, he loved his toy poodle, Layla. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster. Graveside services will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot. Lydia Elizabeth Sanders Friends and family may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 2615 Prairie College St. SW, Canton, OH 44706. The funeral Service will be held at Ivie Funeral Home in Hayesville, N.C. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. with calling hours from 12-2 p.m. Burial will be in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery in North Carolina. Scharver, Emma J.  
Emma J. Scharver 83, of Massillon, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. She was born on Dec. 22, 1930 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Stella Pearl (Weisgarber) Reynolds. Emma was a graduate of Washington High School and had worked as a deli clerk at the former A & D Food-A-Rama. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ada Drobney and Irene Kolek. She is survived by her husband, David E. Scharver; her children, Patricia (Phil) Houser, Cheryl (John) Dannemiller, Tina (Steve) Moffitt, Mike (Ging) Martin, Maria (Jim) Helscel and Jim (Michelle) Mikulec. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and her sister, Juanita Kemp. Schmid, Deborah Ann  
Deborah Ann Schmid 57, of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Deborah was born in Massillon, on July 2, 1957 the daughter of the late Patrick and Donna (Schaeffer) McMillen. Deborah worked as a janitor for Sebring Local Schools and as a bartender at the VFW. She was a lifelong area resident until nine years ago when she moved to Georgia to live near her daughter. Deborah was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. She enjoyed all holidays, decorating and dressing for all of them, shopping, camping, swimming, being on the lake and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, David whom she married on May 22, 1978; two sons, Jason (Jamie) Schmid of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, David Schmid Jr. of Sebring; a daughter, Jennifer Schmid of Summerville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Wes, Mara, Abby and Cameron. She is also survived by two brothers, Joe Evey of Canton, Paul Evey, of Louisiana; two sisters, Mary Mann of Canton, and Betty Gordon of Louisiana. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Forrest Evey, a brother Joey McMillen and a granddaughter Olivia Schmid. A funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Sisler, Rose Marie  
Rose Marie Sisler age 97, passed away on Dec. 19, 2014 in Canton, Ohio. She was born in Akron, Ohio Feb. 12, 1917. Rose graduated from St. Vincent High School in Akron, Ohio. She was a member of Brookside Country Club and St. Michael's Catholic Church in Canton, Ohio. Rose enjoyed golfing and bowling with the Ladies League. She is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Sisler; and her daughter, Diane E. Eaglowski. Rose is survived by her son, Randy Sisler of North Canton; daughter, Mary Ann (Gary) McManus of Medina; son-in-law, William R. Eaglowski; grandchildren, John R. (Liza) Sisler II of North Carolina, Lora (Anthony) Harley, Elizabeth (Jason) Pratt, Matthew (Anne) McManus of Chicago, Tyler McManus of Chicago, and Kevin McManus of Medina; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday at the church with Fr. Donald King officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
