Cerny, Bernadine E. Bernie  
Bernadine E. “Bernie” Cerny “Together Again” of Waterford, Mich., formerly of Carrollton, Ohio, went beautifully and peacefully surrounded by family and friends on June 22, 2016; age 87; preceded in death by her husband Emil and son Keith; mother of Maggie (Greg) Unkefer and Ken Cerny; grandmother of Jeremy, Joshua, Lacy, Makayla and Paris; sister of Marjorie Fishler, Barbara (Jim) Miller, Rita Misek; missed by her caregiver Cathy Zezula. Bernie was a secretary at School District 21 and enjoyed crafts and knitting and was a superb seamstress. She brought laughter and love to all who knew her. Cline, Roger A.  
Roger A. Cline 1954-2016 age 61, of Beach City, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends. Roger was born on Oct. 14, 1954 in Monroe County. He was the son of Mildred (Jerri) Moore and Forrest (Pete) Cline. Roger was a 1972 graduate of Skyview High School. Upon graduating from high school, he joined the U.S.M.C. where he served 7 1/2 years, including a tour in Vietnam. While in the Marines, Roger worked as an Engineer and Staff Sargent. Roger worked at Western Branch Diesel (formerly Ray C. Calls) for 23 years, then left to become a Teacher at R. G. Drage, where he was the Heavy Truck/ Diesel instructor for 15 years. He was past commander of the Navarre VFW Post 5047 and current Quarter Master at the post. He and his wife formally owned the Beach City Amvets for 11 years. Roger was an Honorary Colonel for the Kentucky Derby, as well as a member of several area clubs. He was catalyst in getting changes made for the state's Vocational teachers, and was featured in the New York Times as well as several magazine articles. Roger was known as someone you could always count on, and who would give you the shirt off his back if need be. He made huge impacts on the students he taught at R. G. Drage, and on anyone who knew him. On July 9, 1983, he married the love of his life, the former Jody Hartline. They would have celebrated 33 years this year. Together they had two wonderful children: Justin Cline (Amber Osmar) of Navarre, and Laura Cline (Jared Durant) of Navarre. His children were his pride and joy, as well as his grandson, Clayton (Champ) Felts. Roger is also survived by his sister, Donna (Bert) Snyder of Minerva; sisters -in- law Mary Hershberger and Libby Taylor of New Phila, and brother -in- law Bob Hartline of Strasburg. In addition, he is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews, a cherished family member Jordan Wilson of Navarre, and many, many friends and acquaintances. Roger is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother. In keeping with Rogers wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Cush, Matthew R.  
Matthew R. Cush 2016 age 48, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Born in Canton to the late Eugene and Jeanne (Ehret) Cush, he was a 1986 graduate of Tuscarawas Valley High School. Matthew was a member of Christ the Servant Parish. He was a NRA Conceal and Carry weapons instructor and a volunteer firefighter for the Bolivar Fire Department. He was the Director of Transportation for Famous Supply and an Air Force Veteran. Survived by his wife, Emily (Berecek-Reynolds) Cush; children, Elaina (Alex) Migliore of Columbus, Zach Cush of Toledo, Austin Cush, Joelle Cush both of Canton, stepsons, Justin and Brandon Bartos both of Canton; brothers, Mark Cush of Bolivar, Mike (Deb) Cush of Columbus; sisters, Michele (Lenny) Herman of Parma. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the Servant Parish with Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano, celebrant. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
