Shackle, Beverly J.
Beverly Joan Watson Shackle You may have tangible wealth untold; Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold. Richer than I you can never be – I had a Mother who read to me. - Strickland Gillilan Canton, OH – Beverly Joan Watson Shackle (born Oct. 2, 1929) is finally home. In heaven, the place she desired her entire earthly life, she likely knows she should be a 'Mary' – sitting at the feet of Jesus and hanging onto His every word. Yet, in all likelihood, she is a 'Martha' – busy ironing, cleaning and doing everything else to make sure everyone is clean and comfortable. Our Mom/ Grandma was an unstoppable, tiny bundle of energy, who we pray will take regular breaks from her walking, caregiving and cleaning in heaven, to do two of the things she loved to do the most: read (for her own pleasure and to children) with a cup of coffee at her side; and lead Sunday School/Bible Study classes. Many in heaven are rejoicing at her arrival, including her husband (Art 'Ron/Sonny' Shackle) and her son (Doug Shackle). Staying behind for now to hold her memory in the light include her family: Harlow and Bev Watson; The Dransfields (DeeDee, Tim, Craig and Kirsten); The Dean Shackle Family (Dean, Gerrin and Tyler; and Kevin, Heidi, Cain, Ireland and Hudson Stroh); The David Shackle Family (David, Brena and Jaden); The Doug Shackle Family (Ryan, Lauren and Lillian Shackle; Kyle Shackle and Val Stearns; and Alyssa Shackle); The Feltons (Della, Steve, Jake and Samuel): The Abels (Donna, Joe, Conor and Caitlin); The McKees (Dena, Bob, Max and Maggie); Shelley and Mark Manley; Sam Kelly and Muffin; and Jared and Nicholas Locke. Beverly Shackle made a difference in the lives of many. She was a life-long resident of Canton, committed to her service to the Lord through Bethel Lutheran Church; her neighbors of 60-plus years, especially her dear friends Geneva King and Marty Hostetler; and to the Canton City Schools. We invite you to visit with the family at 1 p.m., and celebrate her life at her memorial service at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 22, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 701 Broad Ave. N.W., Canton, OH 44708. In lieu of flower memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to Aultman Hospice. Reed, 330-477-6721
