Sister Ada M. Jackson
age 86 of Canton, Ohio, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at the Stone Crossing Care Center Nursing Facility of Canton, Ohio. She was born to the late, Fred and Carrie Lewis Randle of Tuskegee, Ala. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie James Bledsoe and second husband, Leonard C. Jackson; nine brothers and two sisters. Sister Ada was a member of the Mt. Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church for most of her adult life, where she shared her talents for baking cakes and pies for the Women's Ministry and special Church events.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted son, James L. (Clara) Bledsoe, Montgomery, Ala.; granddaughters, Ebony M. Davis and Patrice A. Bledsoe; one great-grandson, Darren Jaylin Bledsoe-Glover, all residing in Miami, Fla.; a cherished niece, Lessie Anthony of Canton, Ohio, who devoted years of loving care and stood by Ada's side until her aunt quietly departed this life; five sisters-in-law, Mary Randle of Dayton, Ohio, Annie Pearl Randle of Canton, Ohio, Ruby (Lymus) Blanding of Pittsford, N.Y., Maggie (Hosea) Cobb of Opelika, Ala. and Rev. Elizabeth Jackson of Tuskegee, Ala.; along with a host of other relatives and friends too many to acknowledge by name.
Services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Mt. Calvary 2nd Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Third St. NE, Canton, OH 44704. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Pastor Eric C. Johnson, officiating.
