Albert D. 'Al' Tapp
age 79 of Louisville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 in Canton, Ohio. He was born on July 30, 1934 to the late Charles and Pearl (Waters) Tapp in Mannington, W.Va. He was a member of the Louisville Church of Christ. Al was a US Air Force veteran and was retired from the Timken Co. after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine 'Gerry' Tapp; his son, Scott Alan Tapp of Louisville; two granddaughters, Jennifer Tapp of Arizona and Madison Tapp of Barberton, Ohio; three brothers, John Tapp of Massillon, Ohio, Frank Tapp of Mannington, W.Va. and Robert Tapp of Monroe, N.C.; two sisters, Lena McMurray of Bethel Park, Pa. and Betty J. Cain of Fairmont, W.Va.; He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Tapp and two sisters, Helen Rush and Barbara Moore.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Louisville Church of Christ with Mr. Brian Grubbs officiating. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville and one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Garden, Canton, Ohio.
