Barbara A. Anchor
age 81, of Louisville, stepped into the arms of Jesus on June 27, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 6, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to the Late Rees and Ann (Morgan) Edwards. Barbara was a member of Faith Family Church in Canton and a past member of the Ohio Senior Olympics Volleyball Team. She loved camping, playing volleyball and spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Anchor, three daughters, Laura (James) Campbell, Kathy (Tim) Whitcomb, Becky (Greg) Russell all of Louisville, her son, Richard (Karen) Anchor, Jr. of Akron, four grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Andy and Matt, Sister-In-Law, Beverly (Donald) Drought of Geneva, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Anchor and Sister-In-Law, Jean Edwards.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stier-Israel Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio with Pastor Janice Dickey officiating. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday evening and one hour before services on Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, Ohio.
