Benjamin Watson

Benjamin Watson
of 955 E. Summit, Alliance, Ohio, departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2014.  Ben was born Feb. 12, 1944 to the late Edward and Annie Bell (Nicholson) Watson and was a lifelong resident of Alliance, Ohio. Ben retired from General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio and was a Veteran of the US Army. He loved his family and enjoyed a hobby of collecting and working on cars, and traveling. 
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Watson, Cleveland, Ohio and Tina Hancock of Alliance, Ohio; three sons, David Watson of Dover, Ohio, Antonio (Jaime) Watson of Alliance, Ohio, and Shawndel Watson of Clearwater, Fla.;  Two sisters, Annie Ruth Watson and Daisy Adams of Alliance, Ohio; one brother, Aaron (Eleanor) Watson of Columbus, Ohio; former wife and very special friend, Brunell Watson of Alliance, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one aunt, one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephew, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Susan Ann Watson, and grandson, Chase T. Watson; two sisters, Annie Mae (Watson) Blue and Arlynn (Watson) Porter; one brother, Edward Watson, Jr. 
Services will be held at Second Baptist Church, 820 E. Patterson St., Alliance, Ohio with Rev. Henry Kirksey officiating and Pastor Willie Bell, Euglogy.  Calling hours at 10 a.m. and services at 11:30 a.m.  Friday, May 23, 2014; Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
