Cullen George
Age 97, of Malvern, passed away Friday, Nov. 27th, 2009 at his home. Cullen was born in Brown Township on July 2, 1912, the son of the late David and Carrie (Dale) Ayers. He was a member of First Christian Church of Malvern He was a machinist at Ford Motor Co. in Canton retiring in 1978. He previously worked as a machinist at Hercules Engines. Cullen was a member of VFW Post 4120 in Minerva, Valley Post of the American Legion, Eagles Aerie 2199 in Minerva.
Cullen is survived by three daughters, Beth E. Fowler of Blanchard, Okla., Marla J. (Steven) Gall of Hot Sulfur Springs, Colo., Lois R. (Randall) Digman of Canton; a son, Joseph R. (Karen) Ayers of Malvern; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Betty (Reemsnyder) Ayers in 1981, five brothers and four sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home, Malvern, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
