age 89, of Sonora/Crystal Falls, Calif., (formerly of Canton), was called by God, Dec. 18, 2013, after a short illness. Born in Canton, May 26, 1924, daughter to the late Paul and Jennie Dlugolecki. She was a 1943 graduate of Timken Vocational High School where she was a distinguished 'Majorette.' After graduation, Dolores assisted the war effort in Washington, D.C. proudly serving the United States Civil Service in various government agencies.
Besides her husband, Frank Orza, Dolores was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Dlugolecki Klesenski of Brooklyn, N.Y., and brother, Benjamin Dlugolecki of Canton. Survivors include her three sons, Craig Orza of Toulumne, Calif., Jeff Orza of San Francisco, and David Orza of Salt Lake City, Utah. Dolores leaves her sister, Charlotte Julia Smith, of Canton, Ohio, and Samuel Dlugolecki Douglas, of Canton, Ohio, and Genevieve Szasz of Castro Valley, Calif. There are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren from her son, Jeff Orza. Dolores loved her community and had many friends while involved with the All Saints Catholic Church in Twain Harte, California, the Interfaith Group and the Crystal Falls Association.
Funeral services are pending in California. A Memorial Roman Catholic Mass will be celebrated in Canton, for her friends and family members, at 8 a.m., Jan. 31, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel Church.
