Dominick Victor Lombardi
87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 6. Born to the late Nicola and Josephine (Minotti) Lombardi on Nov. 21, 1925, Dominick was a residential building contractor for many years in the Canton area. He graduated from McKinley High School, in 1943 and attended the Ohio State University. He also worked at Diebold, and TRW. Dominick was a 4th degree member of the K of C and also a member of the Sons of Italy.
Survived by his wife, Laura; daughters, Lorraine (Jerry) Jatczak of Miami, Fla. and JoAnn (Rick) Vidmar of N. Canton; sons, Daniel (Teri) Lombardi of Stamford, Conn. and Brian (Jan) Lombardi of Medina. Also survived by his sister, Mary Melaragno of Columbus and Robert Lombardi. Preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Lukens. He has eight grandchildren, Julie Vivian, Amy Jatczak, Thomas, Lisa, Brianna, Rocco and Halle Lombardi, Gina Vidmar; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Caitlyn Vivian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Rossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in N. Canton with Monsignor Jay Clark celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto at Central Catholic High School or N. Canton St. Paul's Catholic Church. Family wishes to thank the staff at Aultman hospital.
