Donald E. Davis
age 79, of 340 Acadia Dr., Kissimmee, Fla. (formerly of Center Dr. NE, Magnolia, Ohio) died Tuesday evening, Oct. 29, 2013 in his residence. He retired from Diebold, Inc. in 1996 where he worked as a machinist. He was born Jan. 24, 1934 in Sherrodsville, Ohio, and was the son of the late Howard E. (Major) and Irma Belknap Davis.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Graham Davis on Oct. 4, 2007.
He was a member of the East Sparta United Methodist Church and the Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244 at East Sparta. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was formerly a member of the Magnolia Lion's Club. He was also a member of the Solivita Singles Club, the Solivita Veteran's Club, and the Solivita ROMEO's (Retired Old Men Eating Out), all located in Kissimmee. Don loved traveling, and often spoke of his favorite trip, a Panama Canal Cruise in Nov. of 2009.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Ann and Mark Munas of Kissimmee, FL.
Don never met a stranger, and he loved to tell stories.
No funeral services are scheduled and interment of his ashes will take place in the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens sometime the Summer of 2014. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville is handling arrangements.
