Donald E. Frame
age 85, of Louisville, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. He was born in Morgantown, W.Va. on Aug. 30, 1928, to the late Robert and Neva (Goff) Frame. Donald retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1981, after thirty years of employment. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, loved camping, boating, riding on his motorcycle, his twenty- nine winters in Florida, and most especially he loved his family. Following his retirement, he worked at Tampa Bay Downs for twelve years and at The Kentucky Derby for seven years. Even up until his final days, Donald still kept his wonderful sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Frame.
Donald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Rangel) Frame; children, Ronald (Sally) Frame, Juanita (Mark) Chapman, Rebecca (Tom) Glines, and Nancy (John) Barrow; grandchildren, Bill, Teresa, Melissa, Justin, Jeanette, Katelyn, Arin, and Cory; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Mercy Medical Center 9th floor and Aultman Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Donald during his illness. There are no services or calling hours planned at this time and a private burial at Sunset Hills Burial Park will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to Aultman Hospice (2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708).
