Donald Wayne Brisendine
74, of Clinton, passed away suddenly on Jan. 15, 2013, at the Prattville Baptist Hospital in Prattville, Ala. He was born in Covington, Va. on April 3, 1938 to Otha and Ruth Brisendine. Donald served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960. He and Annette M. (nee Johnson) were married, July 30, 1960. He attended and received his associates business degree at the Northwood College in Alma, Mich. He worked his entire working years in the trucking industry. He retired as owner and president of Thermo King Sales and Service of Akron and Cleveland, Ohio. He and his wife traveled all around the world with the Thermo King organizations giving them the love to travel. He loved all sports, and was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed watching his grandson, Colton play football since the 4th grade and presently at Northwest High School varsity football. He was a generous supporter of the Northwest Touchdown Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his beloved son, Bradford. Surviving him is his loving wife, Annette of 53 years and his precious daughter, Melissa; son-in-law, Douglas Hershberger; and grandson, Colton Hershberger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich, Norton with Pastor Steve Cizney officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Monday. Interment at Clinton Cemetery with military honors rendered by Firestone Post 3383. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northwest Touchdown Club, 444 Chippewa St., Canal Fulton, OH 44614 in memory of Don.
