Frances K. (Pfaus) Jones
Age 85, died Saturday after a brief illness. She was a life resident of Canton, 1945 graduate of Lehman High School, and graduated in 1948 from Ohio Northern University. Frances was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's Ladies Guild, and Theta Phi Delta Sorority. Preceded in death by her husband, James D. Jones; daughter, Jennifer Bailis; and a son, Michael Jones.
Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and William Cook of North Canton and Rebecca and Eric Maxin of Canton; four sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Karen Jones of Newburyport, Mass., Daniel and John Jones of Canton, and James Jones of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and special loved ones Dorothy Hager of North Canton; niece, Mary Young of Canton, and Vicki Schoenberg-Sedon of Carrollton, Texas. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Saint Joseph Care Center and the Telemetry Unit, 9th Floor at Mercy Medical Center.
Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Edward Beneleit as Celebrant.
