While serving the children and families of his community, he and Jane also raised four children of their own. Jack was an avid golfer and skilled woodworker. Over the years he created many beautiful pieces of furniture which are lovingly cherished by his family. He and his wife retired to beautiful Seven Lakes, N.C., in 1989, where they built their dream home and spent many happy years playing golf and enjoying their many Winsford Circle and other friends. He lived his life and chose his friends based on the values he held dear honesty, integrity, humility, family and service and generosity to others. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage, and his sister, Patricia (Arnold) Wood.
