Fred Robert “Bob” Webb
79, of Amsterdam passed away Friday morning, May 19, 2017 at Oakhill Manor in Louisville. Born July 5, 1937 in Amsterdam, Ohio he was the son of the late Fred Jr and Sarah Griffith Webb. Bob had worked for 38 years at the J&L Steel Company before retiring nineteen years ago. In his free time he was known as an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years; a son, Robert Wesley (Holli) Webb; daughter, Debra Lynn (Kevin) Schmucker; four grandchildren, Brandon and Amber Webb, Danny Schmucker, Kelli (Mike) Skolosh; a great grandson, Hunter Skolosh; aunt, Mary K. Webb; two brother-in-laws, Dale and Lewis Myers; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend, George Miser.
Funeral services will be (TODAY) Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam. Burial will follow in Bergholz Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from noon until time of services in the funeral home.
