Frederick 'Ted' M. Moske
has gone home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2013 due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Ted was born Oct. 7, 1925 in Akron, Ohio to the late Michael and Mary Moske. He attended West High School and joined the U.S Navy in 1943 serving in World War II and the Korean War, retiring in 1964 as a Chief Petty Officer. Ted also worked for Goodyear Aerospace for 25 years. He was a member of the Brown Street Church of Christ for 59 years, VFW Post 7971, FRA Branch 324 and TIN CAN Sailors.
Ted is survived by his wife, Robbie (nee Watts) to whom he would have been married 60 years in May; daughter, Terri (Michael) Rabicoff; son, Thomas (Elain) Moske. He was grandfather to Jeremy (Augusta) Chambers, Benjamin Chambers, Katie (Anthony) Parker and Nick Moske. He was PaPa to great-grandchildren. Ethan, Landon and Lucas Chambers. He also leaves behind his sister, Pauline Stannard and many nieces and nephews. Ted was a loving, caring and gentle man to his family and all who knew him. He loved God, his family and his country and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619) with Lewis Willis officiating. Family and friends may call TODAY from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
