Hallie Rae Barnes
age 8, of Carrollton went to be with Jesus, Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Hallie was born in Canton, Ohio on April 6, 2001, the daughter of Virgil and Karen (Geil) Barnes of Carrollton. She attended Grace Chapel and was a student at Minerva Area Christian School.
Hallie is survived by her parents; a brother, Gustav Barnes of the home; grandfather, Ron and step-grandmother, Barb Geil of Wakeman, Ohio; grandparents, Bill and Cleny Jean Barnes of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; uncles, Jay and Lisa Geil of Louisville, Ky., Craig and Debbie Geil of Vermillion, Ohio, Darryl and Misti Barnes of Blanchester, Ohio, Jacob and Heather Barnes of Hiram, Ohio; cousins, Nathan and Nicholas, Katy and Spencer Geil and Megan and Bronwyn Barnes. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marlene Geil.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church of Minerva, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 with Pastor Wayne Ayer officiating. Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at First Christian Church of Minerva. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's local Ronald McDonald House, Make A Wish Foundation or Littlest Heroes.
