Jack H. Sams
age 63, died Tuesday after a long illness. Born in Asheville, N.C., he lived in Canton most of his life. He was 1967 graduate of Glenwood High School and had been a car salesman and Disc Jockey. Jack was a member of the Cathedral of Life and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
Survived by his wife, Diane (Gambone) Sams of the home; four daughters, Jacqueline Stabler and Diana Kennedy of Florida, Christina of Alabama, and Alicia Sams of the home; six sons, Jacky of Louisville, Jason of Tennessee, Kristopher of Massillon, Lance of North Canton, and Nicholas and Dustin of the home; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Gary) Bettis of Louisville; two brothers, James Sr. (Winnie) Sams of East Canton and Bill Sams of Canton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Gammill officiating. Private burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
