James L. Fisher Jr.
71 of Massillon, passed away Nov. 13, 2012 following a short illness. He was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Bellaire, Ohio, and was son of the late James L. and Ann (Grant) Fisher. James worked at Remlinger's before moving to Virginia in 1982. He worked for R. D. A. for the state of Virginia until 1998 then moved back to Massillon. For the past seven years, he worked for The Independent.
He is survived by his children, Connie (Justin) Matney, Angel (Fred) Moreno, James 'Jay' (Becky) Fisher, Kris Hicks, Joe (Nicole) Fisher, brother Guy (Shirley) Fisher, sisters Jackie (Shorty) Patrowski and Carol Fisher; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and his beloved dog K.C. Jim will be missed dearly by his children, grandchildren and his siblings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ginger; brother, Butch; daughter, Cricket; granddaughters, Alex, Cass, and Jordon.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Followed by the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m., at Heitger Funeral Home Massillon Chapel. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. Please leave condolences at: www.heitger.com
