John J. Stalica
age 75, of Jackson Twp., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Feb. 27, 1938 to the late, John and Anna Stalica. John was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton and Marriage Encounter. His family meant everything to him especially his grandchildren who he loved so dearly. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Stalica. Survivors include his loving wife, Martha, whom he married on Sept. 10, 1960; his four daughters, Maureen Westling of Dublin, Ohio, Noreen (Frank) Hayden of Jackson Twp., Aileen (Steve) Gusbar of Jackson Twp., and Cathleen (Greg) Snyder of Hilliard, Ohio; his grandchildren who were the center of his world, Megan, Kathryn, Erin, David, Matthew, Ryan, Justin, Lauren, Caitlin, Patrick and Allison; great-grandson, Jacob; his sister, Christine (Bob) Flanders and sister-in-law, Bonnie Stalica. The family would like to thank Dr. Schmotzer and Holly, and the staff at Aultman Compassionate Care Center and also the Aultman Hospice Program.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton, with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Zeigler as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass from 9:30a.m.-10:30a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Catholic Charities of Akron/Canton or the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
