John T. "Hoob" Rhuark was a defining and positive figure in my early life. I appreciate all he and John Cummings did to keep steering me in the right direction in Ravenna and Lecce, Italy, when we served in the U. S. Army Security Agency. He was instrumental in making Detachment Bravo an outstanding element of the USASA in Europe.

I also served with John (although in Italy we called him more often by his nick name "Hoob"). A good man to have as a friend and fellow service man.
