'Together Again'Madeline J. Toland
78, of Massillon died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Aultman Woodlawn Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 13, 1934 in North Olmsted to the late Everett and Helen (Brooks) Georgia and married Otha 'Bud' Toland in 1952. He died in 1997. Madeline lived most of her life in the Navarre-Massillon area. She was retired from Nickles Bakery where she worked on the roll and pie production line. She was a member of Newcomer's Chapel of Pigeon Run United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her four daughters, Peggy (Butch) Soehnlen of Beach City, Nancy (Ed) Carter of Massillon, Shirley Toland of Massillon, and Judy (Fred) Gurule' of Beach City; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Otto of Anderson, S.C., and Sandy Ranney of Conneaut, Ohio. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with Pastor Jon Long officiating. Burial will be at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the Aultman dialysis department for their loving care and the American Red Cross transportation service for their assistance.
