Rev. Marshall H. Peterson
90, of Walnut Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home. He was born March 8, 1927 in Ludlow, Pa., to the late Ernest and Bernice (Scribner) Peterson. He was a United Methodist Minister and served the communities of Forestville, N.Y., Milton, Ind., and Essex, Danville, Caldwell, Barnesville and Tiffin, Ohio. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Wood whom he married on April 17, 1948; his children, Richard A. (Kathleen) Peterson of Newcomerstown, Gail A. (Jean Ann) Peterson of Waterford and Gary A. (Ann) Peterson of Apex, N.C.; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey and a sister.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
