age 90, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014. She was born in Lima, Ohio on May 12, 1923 to the late DeWayne and Dana Budd. Miriam was a member of Perry Christian Church, the Crusader's Sunday School Class, Mayfield Manor Club, Perry Lion's Club, the Philomatheon Society for the Blind and the National Association of the Blind. When she was young, Miriam was a Sunday School teacher in Lima. She enjoyed knitting, listening to books on tape, voicesponding and also sang in the church choir. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Leading in 1988 and her son, Thomas Jester in 1969. Survivors include her daughter, Anne (Roy) Blythe of Massillon; four grandchildren, Debbie Fox of Green Junction, Colo, Tim (Stephanie) Blythe of Massillon, Diane (Erick) Nave of Canton and Cheryl Blythe of Canton; six great grandchildren; and her sister, Charlotte Johnson of Nelsonville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Friday April 11, 2014 at 11a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11a.m. on Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to Perry Christian Church or to the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
