Oscar 'Bud' E. Kemmerling
age 89, of Canton, passed away Dec. 25, 2012. He was born March 12, 1923 in East Liverpool, Ohio, son to the late Emory and Virginia (King) Kemmerling. He proudly served our country in the United States Army in the 11th Airborne Division and retired from the Timken Company following 42 years of service. He had been a member of Canton Baptist Temple for 60 years.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elenora L. Kemmerling; daughter, Sandra Huff; brothers, John William Kemmerling, Robert P. Emmerling; and sisters, Elizabeth Kemmerling and Caroline Pickens. Bud is survived by his daughters, Diane C. Ryu of Lakewood Ranch, Fla, Carolyn I. Lovette of Canton; four grandchildren, Heather Sponseller, Bethany (Brian) Ward, Kristin (Adam) Hogan, Chad (Richelle) Viront; six great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Donald Huff of Massillon. There are nieces and nephews also surviving.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Inn at Belden Village.
