Patrick L. Gallagher
age 66, died Monday after a brave battle with cancer. He was a life resident of Canton, 1965 graduate of Glenwood High School, and was retired from the Timken Company after 40 years of service. Patrick was a member of Amvets Post 124, D.A.V., Army and Navy, and North Canton Eagles. He was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran. Patrick was a generous person and donated his eyes to help others.
Survived by his wife, Donna (Dougherty) Gallagher; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marianne and Jack Megula, Cathy and Rick Conley, and Ann Marie Bixby; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, James and Bonnie Gallagher, Carl and Karen Gallagher, Bill and Kathy Gallagher, and Bob (Brenda) Gallagher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mildred Gallagher.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist with the Very Reverend Ronald Klingler as Celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.
