Paul Wackerly, Jr.
Age 60, of Minerva, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 in Alliance Community Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 2, 1953, in Canton, Ohio to Paul and Georgia (Austin) Wackerly, Sr. He had worked at the Ford Motor Co. for over 15 years, but most recently as a Golf Course superintendent from which he retired in 2011 due to his health.
He is survived by his wife, Sue (Mingus) Wackerly whom he married March 26, 1993; a daughter, Christine Weber of Canton; a son, Paul Wackerly III of Florida; two sisters, MaryAnn (Dave) Fulks of Lumberton, N.C., Julie (Clint) Marshall of Cadiz, Ohio; a brother, Robert Wackerly of Canton; three grandchildren, Kayla Wackerly, Cameron Huscusson, and Colton Weber; and 13 nieces and nephews.
An open memorial service will be held, Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Clint Marshall officiating. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register book at
