Richard F. Young
age 86, died Saturday. He was a life resident of Canton, 1944 graduate of Lehman High School, and a graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania Wharton School Of Business. Richard was retired from the Timken Company after 30 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran. Richard was an avid golfer.
Survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Louise 'Lou' (Frantz) Young of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Peter Blum of Seattle, Wash.; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Deanna Young of Boston, Mass., Rich and Lori Young of Canton, and Ken and Martha Young of Richmond, Va.; 17 grandchildren, Katie, Aaron, and Austin Blum, Joshua and Joelle Young, Matt, Steve, Julie, Beth, Dan, Christy, and Joe Young, Hannah and Joseph Young, Jason and Hannah Grochowski, and Heidi Pigott; and a great-granddaughter, Alaina Young. The family would like to thank the staffs at the Laurels of Massillon and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care of Richard.
Services will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Dueber United Methodist Church with Rev. Chester Harris officiating. Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in West Lawn Cemetery.
