Richard L. Earles
age 70, of North Canton was called to heaven for a 9 p.m. tee time on Wednesday, May 7th, with his family by his side. He was as passionate about golf as he was about his family, which includes his wife of 45 years, Lena; children, Christine (Barry) Troyer, Jennifer (Doug) Hampton, Robert (Lindsay) Earles, and sisters; Shirley Hite and Carolyn Krueger.
Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during the Vietnam War.
In 2004, he retired after 40 years at The Hoover Company. He enjoyed travelling, genealogy, geocaching, biking, hiking, and winning all of the money at his weekly golf outings. He recently discovered ziplining on a family trip and the video evidence will provide the family with laughter and memories forever. His athletic prowess resulted in multiple holes in one and bowling several 300 games.
Calling hours will be at Reed Funeral Home in North Canton on Saturday, May 10th from 10 to 12 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 12 p.m., Fr. Jeffrey Stealey officiating.
