Richard L. "Dick" Ferrell

Richard L. "Dick" "Candy" Ferrell
age 73, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 in the comfort of his home following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Canton on March 14, 1940 to the late, James "Dale" and Catherine Ferrell. Dick was self employed in the carnival business and was a former member of the Greater Ohio Showman's Association. He also spent time with the Timken Company as a machine operator and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Dick was a member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge and was a Golden Member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagle's in Circleville, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ferrell, who passed away in Las Vegas in 2010. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Bonnie (Lewis) Ferrell; three daughters, Christina (Mark Keene) Ferrell, Victoria (Robert) Muller and Kimberly (Keith) Clay; grandchildren, Nichole, Richard, Andrew, Autumn, Kyle, Zachary, Savannah and Bailey; and two sisters, Sally Parr of Canton and Judith Fox of Navarre, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with Pastor Terry McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in Marlboro Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8p.m. and one hour prior to the service from 10-11a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
