Richard M. Meister
79 of Canton, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. Born Sept. 9, 1933 in Canton, Ohio he was a Navy veteran, a member of Christ the Servant Church (Our Lady of Peace) and attended Lincoln High School. Richard worked for 30 years at Coen Oil, then at Fisher Foods. His hobby was going fishing and he liked spending time with his family, especially on vacations and loved sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Meister.
Richard is survived by wife, Betty; sons, Patrick (Tabitha) and Jeff Meister; daughter, Sandy (Fred) Cameron; grandchildren, Amanda and Timothy Cameron, Tyler Meister and Jewel Mitchell; brothers, Don (Cindy) and Tom (Sue) Meister; sisters, Linda (Tom) Hever and Sue (Tom) Mason; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Dr. Kimberly Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
