Robert Lee Donald
Age 80, made his transition from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born in Tusaloosa, Ala., on Sept. 27, 1933, to the late Elaias and Clara Robertson Donald. He retired from The Timken Company in 1992 following 35 years of employment. He was a member of People's Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He enjoyed gospel music and spending time with friends and family especially his grandchildren. He was known for his compassion toward others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Clark, Marshall Lee, William and Lee Andrew. He is survived by two daughters Maurica (Billy) of Canton, Shavonda (Craig) of Avondale, Ariz.; one son, Gregory (Carol) of Canton; grandchildren: Ramon, Brandon, Ashley, Rashad and Jamal; one sister, Loretta McClothan of Canton; one brother, Joe Donald of Lubbock, Texas; god-son, David George of Canton; a special nephew, Shane Billingsley of Cleveland, Ohio; special friends: Larry Cheeks, Perry Miles, J.W. Slay, and Ida Wess, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday at 12:00 noon at the Peoples Baptist Church, with Pastor Walter Arrington Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
