Ronald Earl Hower
age 67 of Massillon (Perry Township) passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012. He was born June 17, 1945 in Greensburg, Pa., the son of the late Earl and Hazel Hower. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Ron studied botany at the Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) in Wooster and was a former member of the Canton Chess Club during which time he taught chess at Crenshaw Middle School.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Denise Hower; sons, Ronald Hower and Michael (Jeannie) Hower; daughter, Lori Ciconte; grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott) Nicholson, Daniel Hower, Michael, Allen, and Alyssa Hower; six great-grandchildren; brother, William (Cindy) Hower of North Canton; sisters, Debbie (Tom) Sibila of Doylestown, Diana Hower of Canton and Donna (Phil) Tucci of Apopka, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and other special people in his life, uncle, Junior; former daughter-in-law, Tracy; Kenny, Deanna and several close friends.
