Thomas A. Hill
age 83 of Massillon, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at Laurels Of Massillon. He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Massillon, the son of the late Thomas and Laura E. (Herman) Hill. Tom was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. He retired from the Master Sergeant with the USAF after 20 years of service serving during Berlin Airlift, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. Also he had worked for Canton City Schools, and Ohio State Patrol. He was a life member of D.A.V. in Massillon, A.F. Sergeants Association, Ohio; Life Member of 305th Bomb Squadron, 8th Air Force - RAF Chelveston, England graduate 8th Air Force NCO Academy; OAPSE/AFCVE School Employees. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he served on Church Council and Welfare and Social Action Committee, he was Vice President of Make-A-Way for many years.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Grace) Hill; Duffy, the family dog; son, Thomas M. Hill; sister, Betty Bauer; two grandsons, Daniel and Thomas Hill; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
