William Farwick

William Harold 'Bill' Farwick
age 81, of Louisville, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013. He was born on May 21, 1931 in Canton, Ohio to the late Joseph and Grace (Riley) Farwick. Bill attended Central Catholic High School and was a US Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. He worked at Macomber Steel for 22 years and retired from Conrail. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Canton where he taught CCD. Bill held membership with the Fraternal Order of Eagles; Elks BPOE, and as a 3rd degree knight with Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan who enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, gardening, traveling and camping.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Farwick) Ross, Michael Farwick, Marie (Farwick) and Doran Zustin of Louisville, Ohio, Susan (Farwick) and Richard Mackey of Ill., James and Cindi (Giambi) Farwick of Ill., Kevin Farwick of Louisville, Ohio; grandchildren, Susan Nagel, Sean Zustin, Marc Zustin, Christopher Farwick, Michael Vincent Farwick, and Stephen Farwick; five great-grandchildren; sisters, JoAnne Siber, Patricia Wagner, Veronica (Merle) Roemer, and Mary (James) Rocci; and brother, Raymond Farwick. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Irene Mary Farwick, whom he married in Calumet, Mich. Sept. 12, 1951; brothers, Robert 'Bobby' and Joseph 'Donnie' Farwick; sisters-in-law, Nadine Farwick, Rita Farwick; brothers-in-law, Gene Siber and Ralph Wagner; and mentor, Uncle Albert (Mary) Farwick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 833 39th St. NW, Canton, with Rev. Msgr. Lewis F. Gaetano officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. The family extends much gratitude to the Sisters and Nurses of Mercy Hospice. In addition the family thanks all the 7th and 8th floor Staff and Doctors at Mercy Medical. All our prayers and memories are with our Dad.
