Dorothy Anderson Obituary

Dorothy Evelyn Anderson
age 89 of North Canton, passed away June 23, 2013. She was born in DeKalb, Ill. to Bertus and Annie Hahn.  She was the treasured mother of daughters, Nancy Anderson and Karen Anderson-El Masry and son-in-law, Farouk El Masry; and beloved sister of Herbert Hahn of Mesa, Ariz.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Arnold R. Anderson; her son, Norman; her parents; sister, Joyce (Hahn) Maren; brother, William Hahn; and grandchildren, Dustin and Cristal.  She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.   
 Dottie was known to her family and many friends for her determination, strength and genuine personality.  She was a good wife, caring mother and grandmother.  She was a generous volunteer and supporter of many causes and organizations.  In particular, she loved her affiliations with New Neighbors, Imps, and Meals on Wheels.  She was a past president and life member of North Canton Lady Elks (#2029).  She enjoyed golf and bowling leagues with friends.  Her positive outlook and giving nature will be missed by many.   
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in North Canton.  To express condolences or fond memories to the family, please visit the Gunderson Funeral Home website www.gundersonfh.com and sign the online guest book. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 349 Lindy Lane Ave. NW, in North Canton.

We loved Dottie at the New Neighbors League. She was a wonderful member for so many years... She will be missed by so many members and friends....
