58, who was a woman of great faith, went Home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2017. She was born on Nov. 20, 1958, the daughter of the late Robert F. and Beverly J. Vickery. Jill graduated from Coventry High School in 1977 and then went to the University of Akron to receive an Associate degree in Business Administration. She was employed as a Business/ Property manager for Canterbury Commons, Inc. Jill enjoyed the outdoors while running and power walking. She also enjoyed weight lifting, Zumba classes and any classes that had to do with fitness and athletics. Jill was an avid animal lover; supporting the Akron Zoo, the Stark County Humane Society and was a member of ASPCA. She was also a member of the Portage Lakes Eagles Club. Jill was full of life and adventure always enjoying travelling with her friends. She was a great humanitarian always helping others. She even gave the ultimate donation of herself as a donor for Life Banc. Jill will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jill is survived by her loving family and friends, boyfriend and life partner of 26 years, Raymond Hensel; siblings, Brenda Covey, Linda (Frank) Rakos, Bruce (Mary) Vickery and Brian (Loana) Vickery; aunts, Bethany (Jim) Bryant, Phyllis Hedge and Maxine Cripe; nieces, Melissa Vickery, Hannah Vickery and Cindy Covey; nephews: Scott Rakos, Michael Rakos and Chris Covey; great-niece, Tiffany Covey; great-nephew, Kyle Bargerstock; many beloved friends; and her four legged cat companions, Annie and Queeter.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. N.W., North Canton, where Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Ron Shultz officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Zoo, Stark County Humane Society or ASPCA.
