Cameron A. “Sonny” “Cam” Brogden II
age 83 of Canton passed away peacefully at Chapel Hill Retirement Community on Friday morning, May 26, 2017. He was born Nov. 25, 1933 in Canton, Ohio to the late Cameron A. and Helen Marvel (Craig) Brogden. Cam attended Lehman High School and graduated from Jackson High School. He joined the Marine Corps after high school and served during the Korean Conflict. He lived for a short time in New York City. Clean automobiles were his passion, and sometimes he drove from California to New York to transport vehicles. He retired from Stark Ceramics after serving 32 years as a pressman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie J. Stratton. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol A. and Tim Selinsky; nieces and nephews, Brett Selinsky, Shayna Selinsky Humbert, Jerrod Selinsky, Rich Stratton, and DeAnne Bunnevich; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, one hour before services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 415 South Main Street, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
