94, passed away on Tuesday, “Together Again”
Aug. 22, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Clyde was born in Totz, Ky.
He is survived by his children: Stephen (Yumiko) Cornett, Anna Marie (Dennis) Plazak and Peter (Cathy) Cornett; and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Frieda Cornett. Clyde was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He retired from Meter Devices Co. at the age of 75 and was awarded the “Employed of the Century” certificated for his steadfastness of purpose his quality of work, and his devotion to family and country. He was an outstanding role model for us all. Clyde was a Veteran of World War II in the 455th Anti-Aircraft Battalion. He was the neighborhood champion at Wii bowling. Many thanks to our neighbors, especially the Lindsay family who helped us care for our father.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd. S.W., Canton, Ohio 44710, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a chapel service to follow at 11:30 a.m., at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, 7920 Frank Rd. N.W., Canton, Ohio 44720. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. N.W. Canton, Ohio 44708.
