Curren L Fannin
85, of Canton passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born July 14, 1932 in Sandy Hook, Ky. to the late Talmadge and Fannie Fannin. Curren retired from the Teamsters after 25 years of service driving truck for White Star Trucking. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed mall walking and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Fannin. Curren is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley; son, Darrell (Cindy) Fannin and daughter, Tammy (Doug) Nixdorf; grandchildren, Chelsea Fannin, Logan Peebles, Rilee Peebles and Kaitlyn Nixdorf; sisters, Minnie Benzel and Judy Bridges.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and doctors at Aultman Compassionate Care Center for all of the love and care given to Curren and his family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd SW Canton, Ohio 44710 from 3p.m. to 5p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Akron Children's Hospital, 214 W.
