Deborah Carson Obituary
Deborah Carson 1963 - 2017
Born in Ravenna, Ohio on Feb. 24, 1963 to the late Don and Carolee Shook, Deborah Lynne Carson passed away peacefully on June 4, 2017 after a week surrounded by family and friends who loved her.
Whether it was with a home-cooked meal, a place to land or time to listen, Deborah made a difference in the lives of many.
As a local business owner of the Time Out Tavern, she created a community of loyal customers in Louisville. As a friend, she helped people when they needed it. And for those lucky enough to call her family, she was loving and fiercely protective. Don't mistake any of this to say she was soft. Deborah was a survivor. She was strong, resourceful and didn't waste much time on things she could not change.
Deborah loved her devoted husband, retired Marine Sergeant Jeff Carson, beyond words. She cherished her children, Kendra, Brandi, Olivia, Helene and Jason, and her grandchildren, Aubryana (deceased), Kaius and Peyton, Cecelia, McKenzie, Carson, Reed, Virginia, Devin, Jeffrey and Jonah. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara and Cynthia, and brother, Donald, as well as step-mother, Tinker, and many nieces and nephews that she loved deeply.
Deborah would want us to thank Dr. Randall Harris and Dr. Ish Rawal for their compassionate care, as well as the tireless and kind nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center.
A celebration of Deborah's life will be announced later. In the meantime, the family asks that you honor her life by finding a way to help someone else.
