Edward McClellen Parson 1928-2017
89, of Alliance, passed away “Together Again”
on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born August 7, 1928, in Franklin County, Pa. to the late Emery and Sarah Parson. Ed retried from Sanese Services after 25 years of service and after his retirement he went to work as a school crossing guard for Canton City Schools. He enjoyed bowling, working in his garden and playing BINGO. Ed was a very kind-hearted loving and understanding Christian. He was a 50-year member of Canton Baptist Temple, and loved being a head usher and attending Sunday School. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, June; grandson, Michael Falcone; and two brothers.
Ed is survived by his children: Doris (Ron) Geiselman, Dorothy Hubbs (Dan Hypes), Larry Parson and Christine Maze; five grandchildren: Michele, Theresa, Rob, Tisa and Briona; 11 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Alliance Community Care staff and Alliance Hospice staff for all of the love and support given to Ed and his family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. N.W., North Canton, Ohio 44720, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, September 16th., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jake Tovissi officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American . The family invites you to visit:
