Harold F. Bostic
95, of Spencer, passed away at his residence Friday, March 27, 2015. He was born in Orleans, Ind. March 21, 1920 to George Brady and Etna (Payton) Bostic. Harold served in the United States Army from 1941- 1945. His occupations included Senior Leader for Civilian Conservation Corps., sales rep for Shell Oil Co., manager for Chicago Motor Cluago Club and Membership Director for Canton, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and Executive Director of Massillon Ohio Area Chamber of Commerce and Massillon Development Foundation. He was a member of Spencer Masonic Lodge #95, Spencer Lions Club, Spencer Exchange Club, Spencer Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 105 in London, Ohio, and a past member of Chamber of Commerce Executives of Ohio.
Harold is survived by two daughters, Karen Weaver (David) of Spencer and Phyllis Bostic of Massillon, Ohio; grandsons, Michael and Stephen (Amy) Weaver both of Spencer; and great-grandsons, Elijah, Maddex, and Cash Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara (Nabergall) Bostic; and stepfather, George Meyers; siblings, James Bostic and Betty Hattabaugh.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Pastor David Lee will officiate. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Masonic Service will be performed at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Military Rites will be performed by the Spencer American Legion and VFW. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Kirkwood Cemetery in London, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to Spencer Presbyterian Church or the charity of choice. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.westparrishpedigo.com
